Challenging Border Force fines

For a good year now, the United Kingdom has been imposing much higher fines on lorry drivers, their employers and the vehicle owners.

When one, three, ten or fifteen stowaways are found, whether at the border in Calais, at the English border, on English territory in Dover or even further inland. These fines arrive by post; they are notifications issued by the Border Force.

The driver receives one and the company receives two. These notifications come as a shock; they are generally extremely high. It is important to realise that you have to fight back, and that you can achieve excellent results by doing so. However, you must follow a number of conditions and procedures.
